Microsoft Power Automate is at the heart of the Process Automation transformation by unifying both Digital and Robotic Process Automation. It simplifies these end-to-end scenarios by connecting API-based automation and UI-based automation. Our goal is to reinvent business processes by ensuring that building automation bots does not require deep training and support like other Process Automation vendors.

We are looking for developers who have a deep sense of pride and personal accountability for end-to-end quality, product completeness, and have a strong desire to create intuitive and impactful experiences that will be validated using a data driven approach. We are looking for strong motivated developers to help us deliver:
1. Rich set of workflow features in Microsoft Power Automate and enable it to be the automation backend for the Power Platform and Office suite of products.
2. Build authoring experiences to make process automation cookie cutter simple for citizen developers.
3. Leverage deep learning technologies to build smarter features for citizen developers.
We are a full stack shop and you will be working in a rapid development environment building scalable backend services on top of Azure stack and providing world-class modern authoring and runtime experiences for process and workflow approvals.


As a principal engineer, you will work with our key customers, understand their needs and translate that into architectural investments to our platform to drive the next wave of investments. You will work with the architects across our group and other groups in Microsoft to architect, design and write code that brings the better together story. You will also drive a strong engineering culture and mentor the junior members of the team the team to write highly available services.


Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with object-oriented language such as C#,C++, or Java
  • Experience using agile software development methodology

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building developer tooling
  • 6+ years of experience with HTML5, React, Angular or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with cloud technology stacks from Microsoft, Amazon, or Google.
