The Employee Experience team is looking for a Group Program Manager to lead the team in identifying, building, and growing experiences that will digitally transform the employee lifecycle while protecting privacy; from onboarding to exit and everything in between. The Group Program Manager will obsess over customer needs, establish strategic product investments, and communicate the roadmap for delivery. The GPM will regularly communicate with senior leaders in the industry, the press and with Microsoft executives. This role will require strong partnership with design, engineering and other Microsoft product teams as well as great collaboration with the Microsoft field, and marketing. Candidate attributes include experienced team leader, customer obsession, a learning mindset, strong communication skills, and generating energy across a diverse team.
The role has scope for broad impact and requires the ability to influence across organizational lines. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a demonstrated track record of product vision, product innovation and a proven history of leading successful teams. The GPM will be required to develop a culture of quick moving teams, customer driven product innovation, drive usage of the suite and deliver measurable business value.
Lead the Employee Experience program management teams that define solutions as part of a suite
Hire and lead a high performing, diverse team
Contribute to defining the overall product strategy, priorities and roadmap
Accountable for establishing and growing business metrics associated with the Employee Experience solutions
Work closely with engineering, design and marketing counterparts to build experiences that drive user engagement
Own the strategy, backlog and deliverables, with clear prioritization, and an urgency for learning
Plan and lead product reviews with engineering teams and planning reviews with executive leadership
Represent the Employee Experience team with customers, press, analysts and partners
15+ years of program management or product management experience
Experience leading teams that deliver software products to end users
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong track record of hiring and managing great teams
History of building strong relationships with engineering and design at the working team and leadership level
Track record of talking to customers and addressing their unmet needs
History of leading large, distributed projects
Experience building HR, Learning, Human Capital Management or related software and services
The ability to think creatively and critically about product market fit
Innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing startup environment
Strong project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills
