About the Role:

We are looking for a Public Sector Solutions Digital Identity Leader who will work with colleagues across Microsoft to develop strategies and a repeatable, scalable set of solutions that meet the Digital Identity needs of Public Sector customers.

You will identify existing and emerging requirements and work with colleagues from across Microsoft, including product engineering teams, to develop solutions to meet those needs using both Microsoft and business partner capabilities. You will bring Public Sector insight to the development of solutions and ensure that approaches are successful in meeting customer needs. You will be a thought leader with deep Digital Identity expertise and will be effective at communicating this and inspiring others. Your success in these areas will establish Microsoft as a leader and a preferred and trusted partner Digital Identity in the Public Sector.

You will be part of a high-performing team of peers with similar responsibilities in other mission and business transformation areas of Public Sector. Your scope is worldwide, and your opportunity and expectation will be to both scale solutions globally, whilst tailoring market offerings to regional customers, all with the objective of driving growth and helping customers to achieve their missions.


What you will be doing:

  • Use your leadership and collaboration skills to develop a cohesive Public Sector Digital Identity Strategy with a compelling and achievable vision for meeting Public Sector customer needs.
  • Leverage your deep Digital Identity knowledge to work with product engineering teams to develop new and innovative solution constructs that exceed the expectations of our Public Sector customers
  • Applying your extensive Public Sector experience, lead and work with local regions to analyze key emerging trends, identify patterns and opportunities to identify needs and replicate solutions on a global scale.
  • Lead and work extensively with field teams, business partners and customers to develop Concept Demonstrators, Proofs of Concepts, solution demonstrators and strategic and points of view that show the power and value of Microsoft products, Cloud, and ecosystem.
  • Lead teams in developing and delivering inspiring and engaging Digital Identity presentations, technical executive briefing demonstrations, and scenario sessions, thought leadership pieces and case studies.
  • Assist field teams by providing subject matter expertise of customer opportunities.
  • Work extensively with existing Microsoft Partners to identify compelling Digital Identity solutions that can be replicated and brought to market with Public Sector customers worldwide.
  • Working alongside Microsoft’s partner leads, identify new Microsoft Partners and / or startups that provide innovative or new groundbreaking, scalable Digital Identity solutions to Public Sector Customers
  • Build leadership relationships at all levels and divisions internally within Microsoft that enables you to bring the best of One Microsoft together for our partners and customers.
  • Measure progress with annual targets for engagement, growth, wins, and adoption.
  • Represent Microsoft through public sector engagements, exercises, and conference presentations to communicate innovation and demonstrations to the widest audiences possible.


  • What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience consulting and delivering complex solutions in or on behalf of public sector entities.
  • 5+ years of demonstrable success in worldwide / regional digital identity leadership roles
  • Experience within in Government / Armed Services, or a role within a major consulting firm, implementing Digital Identity strategies and solutions for Public Sector customers
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, collaboration, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success across a complex, highly matrixed environment. 
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity. 
  • Proven track record of building deep relationships with senior leaders and delivery in large or highly strategic projects.
  • Strong track record of obtaining a ‘trusted advisor’ status with customers and strategic partners.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and storytelling capability to deliver compelling presentations to a range of technical and business audiences.
  • Excellent skills in all aspects of planning, communications, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail. 
  • Passion and proven record for execution with measurable results.
  • Demonstrated strong capability in verbal and written communications skills across a geographically dispersed audience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience; MBA would be an asset.

Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the world, with EMEA and Americas time zones as the preference. You can expect global travel to range between 25 – 50%, contingent on Covid-19 restrictions.
