The PowerShell & OpenSSH team delivers technology to enable DevOps and IT professionals to manage, automate and configure Windows and Linux resources hosted in Azure, Windows, Linux and 3rd party Clouds. The technologies we deliver are heterogeneous, extensible and cross-platform (Linux and Windows). To help with this effort, we open-sourced PowerShell on GitHub, made PowerShell available for Linux / Mac environments, and invested in a Windows version of OpenSSH. We are looking for an equally passionate and skilled engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities

As Software Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing code as well as actively engaging with the community. You will learn to leverage Azure and GitHub to maximize productivity.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial software development. (Required)
  • BA/BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. (Required)
  • Experience in building, shipping, and operating reliable, distributed systems software. (Required)
  • Experience in C# and/or C/C++ and Linux. (preferred)
  • Experience with scripting and using cloud resources. (preferred)
  • Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
