The global Business Applications Core Product Marketing team is looking for a creative product marketer, communication professional and people leader with high energy, passion, and business acumen to lead the Customer Engagement portfolio for Dynamics 365, which represents over $1B for our business.

The Dynamics 365 team spans CRM and ERP solutions and this amazing leadership position represents an opportunity to focus on the growth of all the Customer Engagement applications for our business, including Sales, Service, Customer Insights, Mixed Reality and others, working together with other Product teams within our Cloud Marketing organization to enable powerful go to market synergies. The leader for our Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) portfolio will create and lead the strategy, plan and Go to Market execution for the CE portfolio. This person will lead a team of competent marketers that focus on the holistic strategy, messaging and narrative across the CE portfolio, leading product launches, communications, analyst and press relationships, web, events and campaigns, among other marketing execution levers. The effective team leader for this position should possess a strong mix of business acumen, marketing creativity, professional marketing experience, operational discipline, people management, and strong communication and collaboration skills. As the Senior Director for Dynamics 365, you will work across WW Cloud+Enterprise (C+E) marketing, MCB teams and C+E Engineering teams to drive marketing excellence that results in positive customer experiences, product adoption and Dynamics 365 growth and revenue.

Responsibilities

Be the subject matter experts for the portfolio to create core content, web and campaign assets, sales and partner content as well as lead press and analyst relations.

Create strong and differentiated value proposition and positioning that gets infused in all the materials regarding the CX portfolio.

Landing our strategic portfolio through our multichannel engines (customer evidence, events, corporate comms, etc).

Work closely with Marketing “engines” across the company to bring successful products to market. Partner with Industry Solution teams to make sure the portfolio is accurately represented in product truth, messaging and positioning of industry cloud offerings.

Lead across solution areas – M365 and Azure - to build a strong messaging and positioning foundation that can be used to represent the CX portfolio holistically – internally and externally.

Partner with C+E Engineering, C+E Marketing teams and Worldwide Commercial Business (WCB, OCP, Industries) Sales organizations to align on the priorities and execution to exceed revenue goals.

Orchestrate and execute the content strategic plan to drive awareness and ensure the business shines at first and third party events.

Drive the launch and disclosure of the CX portfolio with strong messaging and customer proof points as well as identify key moments to showcase our innovation in the market.

Gather actionable business insights that will frame and feed our v-next strategy and go to market approach.

Work with Finance for a long-term range plan and goals and craft the marketing and business plan to exceed those goals.

Effectively communicate at all levels, from corporate VPs to the end customer, demonstrating impact and influence across different roles and organizations.

Demonstrate operational and marketing excellence and rigor around financial management in alignment with budget.

Qualifications

  • Ten plus years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated track record of success in marketing execution and strong product marketing/product management as well as storytelling skills.
  • Strong executive presence, cross-group collaboration and communication skills that drive influence among senior leaders across a matrixed organization.
  • Passionate, results-driven and organized approach, with an attention to detail. A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable- plans from concept to delivery, including an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively driving to measurable results. The ability to work independently in ambiguous and changing environments, along with great listening and partnering skills.
  • Strong people manager and team builder. Fostering an environment where people can thrive, do their best work and feel appreciated and recognized.
  • An understanding of Microsoft’s cloud computing technologies and go-to-market strategies. Competitive technologies also welcome.
  • Understanding of channel strategy, community management and the Business Applications sales organizations.
  • BS/BA degree, MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
