The Devices Supply Chain organization at Microsoft is seeking a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Senior Manager. The S&OP Manager leads a cross functional business process that contains sales and marketing teams, channel partners, development, NPI teams, finance and operations teams to drive end to end business management. .

Key activities for this role include:

  • Drive business decisions at the right time to support growth and optimize portfolio P&L throughout product lifecycle​
  • Leading the S&OP business ROB, including building content and driving weekly and monthly executive meetings
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and risk to product transitions, run business metrics and follow up on S&OP commitments and actions.
  • Drives the Executive SOP meetings by providing content and clear messaging for decision-making and alignment on the long-termbusiness priorities.

The role has a significant impact in driving business growth & profitability by providing world class operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the SOP business rhythm for close alignment and collaboration with all functional stakeholders including Segment leads, Product Marketing, Finance & Supply Chain
  • Drives a holistic perspective to gather consensus on multiple points of view on future state & long-range plans
  • Drives the Executive SOP meetings by providing content and clear messaging for decision-making and alignment on the long-termbusiness priorities.
  • Develops and leads cross-functional teams in scoping problems by identifying key issues, inputs, stakeholders, and outcomes
  • Improves clarity of managing complex problems, drives alignment and influences decision-making at senior leadership levels
  • Provides proven thought leadership to identify and manage the supply chain to optimize availability and cost
  • Drive alignment of business objectives/actions across key stakeholders
  • Cascade executive strategy to functional teams
  • Build, develop, and maintain working relationships with a cross functional virtual team, facilitating proactive business management, communication, issue resolution as well as driving key decisions.
  • Lead consistent reporting structure and cadence to support the business ROB.
  • Partner with Product Line Manager and Lifecycle Manager to build and manage long range forecast signals to drive long range manufacturing signal
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify process improvements, system enhancements, and overall resource requirements to support new products/businesses.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain with 6- 8+yrs of relevant planning experience​, demand and supply
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated executive communication/presentation skills and persistent attention to detail
  • Exceptional ability to impact and influence business decisions and results where cross-boundary collaboration is required
  • Demonstrated experience driving global programs while understanding the multicultural implications of global business and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Extremely detail- and process-oriented
  • Strong facilitation and consensus building skills.
  • Excellent financial and business acumen

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or engineering
