As the infrastructure team for Azure Machine Learning, we are looking for a software engineer who has experience building high scale, highly available, and secure cloud services. We build and deploy microservices in Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service) and make extensive use of open-source software to build services that customers love. Responsibilities

As a software engineer on our team, you will participate in developing innovative solutions across AI Platform. Responsibilities include the following.

  • Design and build scalable, high-performance services that are highly reliable.
  • Write concise and clean code with unit tests.
  • Ability to work across teams in a large organization.
  • Design and implement new features as well as add functionality to existing systems.
  • Investigate pre-production and production issues, implement, and deploy fixes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Self-motivated and a great collaborator.
  • Be passionate about making customers successful.
  • Ability to influence broadly towards common goals and priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field
  • 12 years of software development experience in C#, Java, Scala, C++, Go, Typescript/Node.js or similar with solidcomputer science fundamentals, fluent in multi-threaded programming, experience/inclination for architecting at scale
  • Demonstrated technical design, problem solving, coding and debugging skills
  • Experience with distributed systems design and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and related technologies
