Sr Director – Security Narrative and Strategy

The Sr. Director for Security, Compliance & Identity {SCI} Narrative and Strategy will sit within the SCI Marketing organization reporting to the CVP of SCI Marketing and will be responsible for defining and delivering the customer-centric SCI narrative, growth strategy & audience journeys for Microsoft’s Security, Compliance, Identity and Management business which delivers comprehensive solutions for protecting organizations across Microsoft and 3rd party clouds and platforms. This person will lead a primarily Washington, Redmond based team of full-time employees.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining the business growth strategy and marketing strategy for the Security, Compliance, Identity and Management business
  • Synthesizing deep market and audience insights
  • Crafting the SCI+M narratives that cross products and categories to express differentiation and cultivating human-centric and customer-centric stories
  • Defining & executing thought leadership programs and creating communities
  • Creating key customer experiences across digital and analog
  • Defining the customer-journeys to engage with customers for driving awareness, acquisition and advocacy
  • Defining and delivering content architectures mapped to customer journey
  • Generating a steady stream of compelling customer evidence
  • Building and leading a high performing organization while providing inspirational leadership with a customer mindset
  • Championing and living Microsoft culture.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have experience and demonstrated skills in:

  • 15 years of related work experience
  • Story-telling, brand and customer-centric demand creation
  • Business and marketing strategy
  • Product, field, industry, event, and digital marketing
  • Creative and strategic thinking
  • Operationalizing new business models, processes and strategies across multiple cross-company boundaries
  • Leadership of large organizations (horizontal and vertical); influencing across aligning hundreds of stakeholders
  • Prior people management experience including fostering a team culture of high collaboration, transparency, inclusiveness and trust
  • Low ego, growth mindset and high collaboration
  • Technical and business degrees a plus.
