We are the Developer Relations Global Experiences PM team, delivering Cloud & AI localized software, sites, as well as technical and Learn content on the docs.microsoft.com site to customers around the world, with the goal to increase the usage of our localized content worldwide.

We are looking for a motivated Senior Program Manager with passion and expertise in using existing data to gain insights into our customers' behaviors, priorities, and needs. You will help our team achieve business goals by investigating and determining how to best leverage existing data to push our business forward and to achieve our team's key objectives. You have expertise in bringing together various data streams, including feature usage data, feedback, business data, as well as other customer engagement data and help our team to make sense of the patterns you see. We are looking for someone who can not only analyze data, but provide actionable insights to help us make informed decisions. As a result of your work, our team will be better equipped to provide customers the best localized all-around experience possible by making the right investments. A passion for data analysis and desire to measure and improve outcomes as well as passion for scalability and machine learning to understand user behavior and preferences would be great assets. Our team is eager to build more data science into the rhythm of our business.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with data scientists in partner teams to ensure data needs for our organization are considered. Deeply understand available data, including gaps and limitations; create dashboards and reports to be consumed by peers and leadership to drive organizational goals forward. Enable international PMs to make the right business decisions by manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume data from varying sources. Discover new or previously unasked questions, prepare data and use statistics and machine learning to investigate problems with the goal of supporting business needs. Apply (or develop if necessary) tools and pipelines to efficiently collect, clean, and prepare data for analysis. Interpret results and develop insights into formulated problems within the business/customer context and provide guidance on risks and limitations. Validate, monitor, and drive continuous improvement to methods, and propose enhancements to data sources that improve usability and results.

Qualifications

Experience designing, implementing and optimizing solutions at scale, with the ability to ramp up quickly on a new technical domain

Ability to drive cross group problem solving, customer advocacy and ability to apply creativity, critical thinking and solution-mindedness in a dynamic working environment across partner teams, and with peers.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work with both Program Managers and Engineers as a team player. Understanding of engineering cycles to surface and propose requirements.

Work with large amounts of data, validating inputs, running analysis and being able to draw conclusion and strategy based on data insights. Experience in using data analytics reporting (powerbi or equivalent) and data manipulation (Python, R, SQL, Kusto), and ability to present complex data visually in a meaningful way.

Proven expertise in Designing and implementing PowerBI reports and drawing inferences and strategies in response to the outcomes of those reports.

Agile methodology, usage of TFS or similar tooling, as well as Git/GitHub knowledge

BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent
