The One Commercial Partner (OCP) organization plays a critical role in Microsoft’s cloud growth and digital transformation with customers. The Go-to-Market (GTM) team in One Commercial Partner is responsible for driving the holistic go-to-market approach across the partner ecosystem. Our mission is to accelerate partner success through people, programs, investments, and campaigns across the partner lifecycle.

In this role, as a Partner Marketing Advisor for our Black and African American Partner Growth Initiative (BAAPGI), you will be the strategic thought leader to design and orchestrate the PGI Go-To-Market programs across the US – a pilot program to accelerate the growth of Minority Owned Business Enterprises that are part of the Microsoft Partner Network. You will play a key role in the Microsoft US team to executing plans to address Racial Injustice (see Satya’s blog with detail HERE).

In this role, as a Partner Marketing Advisor for our Partner Growth Initiative (PGI), you will be the strategic thought leader to design and orchestrate the PGI Go-To-Market programs across the US. You will work hand in hand with the Partner Development Managers in the US to support their partners with plans, communications, and connected co-sell execution that accelerates the growth of our partners.

We are seeking a high energy, growth mindset oriented individual to join our team as a partner marketing advisor.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this Partner Marketing Advisor include:

  • The goal of this role is to grow our partner ecosystem with businesses that are owned by communities that are currently under-represented in the industry ecosystem.
  • Developing strategic 1 – 5 year plans in collaboration with other Microsoft teams (ie, Corporate, Business Development, US Leadership etc).
  • Creating, supporting, and landing Co-sell programs designed to build leads and grow relationships with PGI partners.
  • Acting as lead US Program Manager setting the timelines, delivering on milestones, and communicating key changes. You will own the end-to-end connected delivery and communication of this plan and will have responsibility to manage the project plan with rigor.
  • Act as master simplifier. Work across multiple stakeholders and project areas – demonstrate the ability to synthesize a lot of information into concise and consistent communications that drive action.
  • Key measurements for this role include lead generation, partner growth, and Partner satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in partner channel development or marketing operations.
  • 2+ years of project or program management experience.
  • Strong project management skills involving multiple internal and external partners.
  • Strong communication (written and presentation)
  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment including managing virtual teams across functions.
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high demand environments.
  • Maintain a good attitude and show flexibility in changing circumstances.
  • Successfully collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Strong customer-focus and attention to detail.
  • The ability to influence key decision makers.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in channel marketing, partner channel development, or marketing operations in the technology industry.
  • 5+ years of program management experience.
  • Proven track record in successful marketing/sales programs management.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving complex business issues through analysis, data driven insights, organizational skills and sound judgment.
  • Experience with technology platforms and solutions with a reasonable level of proficiency across the four Microsoft solution areas.
  • MBA desired.
