Job Overview

Leads and drives alignment with Segment and BU, supports BU vision, strategy, value drivers and key priorities. Defines BU technology roadmaps, leads change and fosters continuous improvement. Drives BU capability maturity, sets and controls BU IT budget. Provides outside TE representation to customers and vendors. Partners with Strategy and Portfolio leaders as well as TEIS CoEs and Program Managers to facilitate implementation of newest technologies, deployment of best practices and methodologies and MandA integration. BU representative for digital and organizational transformation, business continuity and cybersecurity.

TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal candidate will be a transformational IT leader at a large global enterprise. In order to have the credibility to drive necessary change, this leader must have global leadership experience, experience developing and executing IT strategy, and a record of producing best-in-class IT solutions. This individual will also possess a combination of strategic thinking and IT execution skills at the enterprise level. Beyond excellent delivery skills, the ideal candidate will have a breath of business acumen in a manufacturing company, with knowledge of engineering product development, customer experience (CX) and a breadth of IT portfolio experience. In addition, this leader must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and be capable of working in a results-oriented business environment. This position requires strong influencing skills, teamwork, and an overall commitment to excellence. Ideally, this person has supported a highly complex/matrix business within a global LEAN manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Together with Segment CIO and peers, provide IT leadership and vision for the transformation of TE Information Solutions organization and services to achieve greater business focus, effectiveness and optimal costs of services.
  • Develop a strategy and road map to enable business objectives, including digital transformation in alignment with the Channel strategy and priorities.
  • Establish a plan and budget that integrates with the wider organization. This plan and budget will be transparent, and the Data and Devices CIO will represent their BU within the IT governance structure in a manner that ensures long-term collaboration and commitment of the organization as a whole – balanced with the needs of the Business Unit.
  • Support IT M&A due diligence and integration to optimize business capabilities as needed

PROFILE

Your BACKGROUND:

  • experenced Leader with global manufacturing and/or engineering experience
  • Breath of business acumen and IT portfolio experience.
  • Experience with advanced analytics to drive value.
  • Track record of creating a vision and then executing on it. Demonstrable success in leading an end-user focused business transformation initiative using the latest technologies – that delivered major organizational impact.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, remain adaptable, and be capable of working in a results-oriented business environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or Business (or equivalent). Masters preferred.

RESULT ORIENTATION

  • Proven experience and success delivering in a shared services operating model for global organizations
  • Experience leading IT transformations involving the implementation of new technologies, new service models and organizational redesign.
  • Comfortable making timely, business-oriented IT decisions in a rapidly changing environment where project priorities are often juggled based on business needs.
  • Hands-on technology leader, with broad exposure to infrastructure, operations, ERP, security and risk management, engineering systems, digital, PMO and architecture.

  • Proven experience and successes in creating IT strategies and negotiating contracts in a multi-vendor and global environment.

  • Proven record of designing improved IT solutions and operating models in a global organization.
  • Capable of developing and executing short-term (tactical) and long-term (strategic) plans.
  • Quickly grasps the key business drivers in an industry or organization and across geographic boundaries.
  • Team-oriented, a self-starter, flexible and an effective problem solver.
  • Holds themselves to the highest standard of integrity and personal behavior.

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $ 164,480 - 246,720 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10–12-week program, interns will be provided with:

TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May.
